a simple calculation based on data from the cement industry, mixed with data from my own professional practice shows that the current construction activities for 1,000 € to be invested in buildings (new construction or renovation), about 717 kg CO2 in the production are the massive building materials (concrete, steel, bricks) emits.
A recovery plan, which, as far as I have been following it pumps, under present conditions, approximately € 40 billion in construction activities increased, the current worldwide annual revenue of about 31 billion tonnes of CO2 here in Germany for a further 30 million tonnes of CO2.
Almost one per thousand more CO2 from a country that wants to be a model for climate protection! The stimulus package at the building of new construction and building renovation a climate killer, investment in environmental protection and the prevention of an impending climate disaster due to the greenhouse effect are different.
