Rüdiger Weng gemeinsam mit Architektur- und Ingenieurbüros sowie dem TÜV Rheinland entwickelt haben. Der Standard ergänzt bestehende Angebote der Architekten- und Ingenieurkammern zur Qualitätssicherung in Planungsbüros. Er umfasst messbare Kriterien zur Servicequalität, zur Lenkung von Dokumenten und schriftlichen Aufzeichnungen, der Qualifizierung der Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sowie Kriterien zum Bauprozess selbst und zur Kundenorientierung – und ist ein anerkanntes QualitätsManagement-System. Das Zertifikat „Planer am Bau“ wird im Anschluss an die Kontrolle durch den TÜV für drei Jahre vergeben, wobei jährliche Überprüfungen stattfinden.
